
What is BIOMATCH?
BIOMATCH is a networking initiative between biotech firms, pharmaceutical companies and venture capital enterprises.
The initiative comprises two sections:
-presentations, at which biotech and life sciences businesses have an opportunity to display their products and discoveries with a view to concluding partnerships or obtaining financing
-private meetings, at which companies can request meetings with participating pharmaceutical and venture capital firms.

Participation in BIOMATHC
Anyone registered with BIOMEDEX can attend presentations and request meetings.
To make a presentation you must:
- be a member of BIOQuébec
- be registered with BIOMEDEX
- fill out an application form.
A selection committee will examine your application and you will receive a written confirmation. Biotech firms in the pre-clinical, phase 3 and marketing stages and medical technology companies will be given priority.
Organization of presentations
- Each presentation lasts 10 minutes and must be made without PowerPoint backup.
- Presenting firms will briefly answer participants’ questions following the presentations.
To request a meeting :
- Complete the appropriate form you will find at the bottom of this page (Presenter or Investor)
- Consult the list of participants and email mvidal@bioquebec.com which company you would like to meet with and include your name, title, company, address, phone, fax and email. You will receive a confirmation indicating the time at which we have schedule your meeting.

Granting of the BIOMATCH Awards
For the first time this year, the best presentation will receive the BIOMATCH Award, which includes:
- the presentation to the winner of a plaque at the beginning of the Genesis Gala;
- a one-year membership in BIOQuébec;
- a free page of advertising in the program of biotechnologies week in September;
- the possibility of being interviewed on Pharma Television (http://www.pharmatelevision.com/). The winning firm will have to travel at its own expense to the Bio International Convention in San Diego to carry out the interview.
